75 Youth-led Projects Selected under the EUTEENS4GREEN Initiative
The EUTEENS4GREEN initiative was launched in 2022 to encourage young people to participate in environmental conservation efforts and to promote sustainable development in their communities. The initiative received a total of 197 applications across the EU, and after a rigorous selection process, 75 youth-led projects were selected for funding. For more information on the 75 selected projects, please visit the website: EUTEENS4GREEN
In this initiative, people between 15 and 24 years old living in 44 regions benefiting from the Just Transition Fund in 21 Member States will run projects that cover a wide range of environmental issues, including waste reduction, renewable energy, and conservation of biodiversity. The selected projects are expected to make a significant impact in their local communities and contribute to the achievement of the EU’s sustainability goals. Up to the spring of 2024, each project will be managed by individuals or by youth organisations.
EUteens4Green is part of the EU’s broader efforts to promote sustainable development and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative recognizes the critical role that young people play in achieving these goals and aims to empower them to take action and make a positive impact in their communities.
