Support

Beneficiaries gain access to a wide array of national and regional funding programs. The scheme fosters connections between beneficiaries and high- value partners, industry experts, and mentors. Networking events, workshops, and introductions facilitate collaborations, partnerships, and knowledge-sharing.

Experienced coaches with a deep understanding of startup dynamics offer one-on-one guidance. They provide insights, help beneficiaries refine their business strategies, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure informed decision-making at every stage of their startup journey. Beneficiaries have access to modern and fully equipped offices and co- working spaces.

The scheme offers workshops conducted by invited experts in various fields. These workshops cover essential topics such as business development, marketing, and financial planning, enhancing beneficiaries’ skills and knowledge.

The incubation program “move” which has a duration of 12 months, provides a holistic approach to nurturing and guiding beneficiaries throughout their startup journey. It offers financial, educational, and networking support to empower entrepreneurs and increase their chances of building successful and sustainable businesses.

Procedure

The instrument has been activated by build! Startup Center in 2022 and is based on regional funding by KWF (Carinthian economic development Fund).

To get into the “move” incubation program, a startup needs to apply in advance with a detailed pitch deck and a video pitch. The application is reviewed and evaluated by a regional advisory board. The regional advisory board is made up of representatives chosen by our partners.

Start-ups can apply twice a year, once in the spring and once in the autumn. The application process until a decision is made takes one month.

Status and Results

In the current period, about 30 startups are being incubate and are using the support scheme.

Remarks

To build a support system (incubation support program) like “move”, you have to create a coaching vision, develop and train the startup coaches, and understand your “customer”. What are the pains of the ecosystem and of a young entrepreneur.
Furthermore, experts for a mentoring program are essential. To complete the package, you need a broad network of experts and very good relationships with stakeholders.
