Join Our Team: We Are Hiring a Project Manager for European Funded Projects
SERN is announcing an open position for a Project Manager – European Funded Projects. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and coordinating various European-funded initiatives.
As part of our commitment to driving innovation and fostering collaboration across Europe, this role will involve overseeing project lifecycles from inception to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of objectives, and maintaining strong relationships with our stakeholders.
Responsibilities and foreseen scope of activities
The role of the Project Manager consists of two main areas of intervention:
- Manage and implement European funded projects dealing with thematic such as inter-regional cooperation, entrepreneurship and climate change. Among the other tasks, it will be required to execute desk research, communication activities, organize events and trainings.
- Design, plan, prepare and submit proposals under specific European Programmes calls for grants or tenders (Horizon Europe, Interreg Europe, DG REGIO, Creative Europe, among others).
Requirements
- University degree.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Project Manager of EU funded projects.
- Experience in EU innovation, research, entrepreneurship, regional innovation ecosystems, climate and environment.
- Previous experience in proposals writing for European funded grants and/or tenders.
- Strategic thinking, ability to draft reports and prepare grant applications.
- Capability of working in multicultural environments and excellent communication skills.
- Strong self-motivation and capacity to work in a team.
- International work experience will be a plus.
- Multitask performance and capacity to work well under time constraints.
- Working hours flexibility.
- Excellent use of English and fluency in French, both written and spoken. Portuguese is an asset.
- Availability to travel abroad.
- Good use of Office tools – Word, Excel, …
Contract information
- Contract type: 1 year.
- Place of work: Brussels.
- Starting date: as soon as possible.
