StartUp Europe Awards 2019: Call for Country Managers
StartUp Europe is preparing the third edition of StartUp Europe Awards together with Finnova Foundation. The initiative launched an open call for Country Managers to help with organising the contests. The deadline is 20th May and you can apply here.
Country Managers are relevant figures in the European entrepreneurial ecosystem who wish to help organise the competition at a country level. Their task is to arrange contests in their countries and generate a pool of finalists who will compete in the European round. Finnova’s team will support the Managers in preparation of the competitions. The European finals will start towards the end of November.
For this year’s edition, StartUp Europe launches a competition in 22 categories. The Country Managers can choose as many as they like according to which categories suit their country the best. This year, the Award is taking into account the United Nations Social Development Goals. Therefore, the evaluation will also consider how the startup is contributing to the targets set by the UN.
StartUp Europe Awards is a tool to improve the awareness and communication of entrepreneurship values. The initiative gathers the organisers of startup awards all around Europe and beyond. Furthermore, it functions as a forum for the exchange of best practices and networking in the European ecosystem. The initiative is promoted by the European Commission and supported by the President of the Committee of the Regions.
