SERN @ European Project Workshops
On the 17th of October the event “European Project Workshops” took place! The several associations that joined had the opportunity to learn more about the behind-the-scenes of project submissions and the right methods that should be applied when formulating a proposal for Creative Europe Projects. Participants also had the chance to attend several talks:
Region Sud
Starting with an introduction from Véronique Ceaux from Region SUD – The South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, which is a territorial collectivity. The South Region, a leader in economic development, does everything possible to become the first partner for companies. Its role is to provide a public service by ensuring the general interest of the inhabitants, their well-being, and equal opportunities in the regional territory.
ARSUD
Followed by Anais Le Floch from ARSUD – The Arts & Entertainment tool that offers complete and structuring routes to regional cultural actors. A true bearer of territorial cultural projects, Arsud comes to concretize and promote the regional cultural policy. This tool has become an essential partner for cultural professionals in the South Region.
Relais Culture Europe
Moving on to a summary of the previous workshop sessions of the event by Laurence Barone from Relais Culture Europe – A platform for innovation on Europe and culture. In France, it acts as the Creative Europe Office. Its mission is to support European cultural innovation practices and the development of projects, cooperation networks, and European exchange and research communities between actors involved or wishing to become involved in European cultural issues today.
Connect International
Next came a presentation of the BITE Of ART 2.0 project by Ivan Despotovic from Connect International – Which offers international residents personal advice and practical information on complex matters such as settling, living, and working in the Netherlands and educates Dutch companies about intercultural differences.
SERN & ARTeCHO
The event came to an end ending with the participation of our own Chiara Frencia representing SERN. Chiara gave a presentation on the new project – ARTeCHO – Art, Economy & Technology! Aligned with the Work Plan for Culture and the New European Agenda for Culture the ARTeCHÓ project will design and test supporting schemes combining capacity building, (cross-sectorial) networking, and policy-oriented debate and discovery around emerging themes and opportunities for the Cultural and Creative Sectors (CCS), taking full advantage of the twin– green and digital – shift.
