EUTEENS4GREEN’s Greek Projects Meet European Commission Officials
Last Monday, as part of our ongoing efforts with the EUTEENS4GREEN European Union-funded project, the Greek project teams had the privilege of meeting with Mr. Francesco Amodeo, Project Officer at the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), and with Mr. Nassos Athanasios Sofos, the Programme Manager at DG REGIO for the Greek Programmes co-financed by the EU funds within the Regional and Cohesion Policy from the European Commission.
This meeting was a valuable opportunity for the passionate youth of Greece to engage in a constructive dialogue regarding the local implementation of their projects and the various challenges and opportunities it presents. They explored strategies aimed at raising awareness about the mission of their projects within their communities, recognizing that the best outcomes can only be achieved through collaborative efforts.
The gathering, facilitated by EUTEENS4GREEN consortium, underscored the significance of fostering connections between the European Commission and the youth. It highlighted the importance of involving young citizens in initiatives addressing the challenges of the Just Transition regions.
As we continue our journey with EUTEENS4GREEN, we remain committed to fostering these vital connections, reproducing these pivotal meetings, driving positive change, and inspiring actions among younger generations.
