Survey: Market-Creating Innovation
SERN was invited as a regional stakeholder to support Horizon Europe PILLAR III “Open Innovation”, including the European Innovation Council (EIC). The EIC was set up to encourage the EU to be more competitive and comparative to other countries by supporting innovators with breakthrough ideas and market-creating innovations that currently face high risks due to the fragmentation of the innovation eco-system, lack of risk finance and risk aversion.
In its pilot phase, the EIC will become a full-fledged reality from 2021 under the next EU research and innovation programme Horizon Europe with a proposed € 10 billion budget. In this context, we are carrying out a survey aiming to receive your feedback on disruptive, market-creating innovation, on gaps in the current innovation support landscape and on your regional ecosystem.
The survey mainly consists of multiple-choice questions and will not take more than 6 minutes to complete. All responses will remain confidential and any feedback will be used solely to inform and provide policy feedback to the European Commission. Responses will be reported in an aggregated and anonymous way.
